I have had MS for 10 years and have been experiencing weird feelings of a hair wrapped around my one of my left fingers or a spider crawling on my left hand or arm.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar feelings?
I get those feelings! Most often around my biceps and feet, but sometimes around my fingers and hands. It will drive me crazy for hours sometimes!
I mentioned it to my current neurologist and he just looked at me like I was crazy. It's like a little thread going across the entire affected area is being pulled taut and there's this pressure going in a line across whatever area I'm feeling it at the time. So maddening!
I have no answers, no advice, but experience this too. 💜💜

Ah, yes, ! Those dreaded "creepy crawly" type feelings! I know that quite a few of our members experience them, whether it's feeling like you have bug crawling on you, or a sensation of stray hair you just can't catch, you're not alone in this! One of our contributors wrote about her experince with those weird sensations -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/skin-crawling. And another contributor wrote about his skin sensation experiences here -- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/skin-sensations. It's definitely one of the weirder MS symptoms a person might deal with! And, yes, it can be quite maddening!

- Me, me, me! I can be one of those strange sensations that is just annoying to outright disrupting. When I'm just a little overtired, it feels like a feather touching the left side of my face. When I'm really rundown, that feather feels like something stepping on my face. The scrawling bug sensation is actually quite common. MS can definitely feel like the creepy crawlies are out and about. - Lisa
