Vaccination advice

"I am 66 years old. I was diagnosed with PPMS last year. I received my 1st half Ocrevus infusion on 10/18/21. My 2nd half infusion on 11/02/21. And am due my 1st full infusion on 05/06/22. I received my 3rd full Moderna vaccination on 01/27/22. I want to get my Moderna booster but I don't want this to interfere with my infusion in May. I would appreciate your thoughts on when I can safely do this. Thanks."

  1. Hi! If you haven't already, I suggest asking your neurologist about this. Also, here is an article from the NMSS about the timing of vaccines that may help https://www.nationalmssociety.org/coronavirus-covid-19-information/multiple-sclerosis-and-coronavirus/covid-19-vaccine-guidance/Timing-MS-Medications-with-COVID-19-Vaccines. 1. Thank you for your reply. I had already read this article in addition to several others. One article said wait 5 months after last Covid vaccination before receiving booster. This would be the end of June. I am getting my next Ocrevus infusion on May 6th. Another article said wait at least 3 months after last dose of DMT. This would mean that I would have to wait until August before getting my booster. I will speak with my neurologist. But, I was just hoping to get additional information to help me weigh my options.
