Has anyone ever had sciatica and had to explain to your family that even though it is similar to MS in some ways, it is much worse? For me, with sciatica, the pain from my lower back all the way to the ends of my toes has been, at times, worse than kidney stones & childbirth combined! My doctor called in 2 prescriptions for pain, but neither one helped. I know Advil isn't good for us to take several times a day, but that's been the only thing that helps.
I'm much better now. I only have twinges that last a few seconds instead of several minutes. But, the twinge that I just had made me think about how difficult it was to get around last week. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for dealing with sciatica and MS. I guess I'm worried that I'll get it again because all that I do is transfer in & out of bed and on & off the toilet so I'm thinking that I turned or twisted somehow and pulled a muscle in my butt. Which, if not for the big knott I wouldn't have even noticed because the sciatica pain was so bad, lol.
I'm just scared it'll happen again.
Thanks,
Michelle
