Mind heals body.... Body heals mind. My take on yoga.... Mindfulness

YOGA cannot be taught... It has to be experienced.
 You live YOGA!!!

Yoga can be practiced in many different ways

I had practiced yoga for over 9 years (I would be lying if I said regularly but as often my body permitted).
Least did I know that that yoga can be practiced in many different ways than just getting your posture right, until I met my Guru who took me through the path unknown and I was enlightened by a complete different approach to yoga altogether. So actually what I have done thus far was only some twists and turns with no benefit ?. And I could do every posture right to the "T" but my breath was never in sync with my stretches and asanas and I thought I did it ?.

Anything done in complete mindfulness is yoga

In a real sense I wasted a lot of my time and energy doing the wrong things correctly. We live yoga in our daily life. Anything that is done with Complete Mindfulness is yoga.
Right from music to cooking to your work life when you push in all your passion is also yoga.
Being in a meditative state... Just be with yourself in your thoughts is also yoga.

The fundamental purpose of yoga

So let's get to the basics.
Every ailment in our body is a manifestation of your mind says Louis Hey
. Though the benefits of yoga are well-known, the fundamental purpose of yoga is often overlooked by many modern practitioners. Far beyond merely bending the body, the science of yoga provides the ultimate tool for enhancing human capabilities and functioning at the highest peak of body and mind.
When we say “yoga,” for most people it probably means twisting the body into impossible postures. That’s not what yoga is about. Among the Yoga Sutras, which form the bedrock of today’s yoga, only one sutra is dedicated to asanas. All patanjali said was “Sthiram sukham asanam” – a posture which is comfortable and firm, that is your asana.

To be in perfect tune

Asanas are a very preparatory step, but unfortunately they are being propagated as the whole of yoga. Yoga means to be in perfect tune. Your body, mind, and spirit and the existence are in absolute harmony. When you fine-tune yourself to a point where everything functions so beautifully within you, the best of your abilities will naturally flow out of you.
Have you noticed, just a little happiness can liberate you from your usual limitations of energy and capability. When you are happy, your energies always function better. You seem to have endless energy. It doesn’t matter even if you do not eat or sleep, you can go on and on. If a little happiness can do this to you, imagine if your body and mind were functioning in a completely different state of relaxation and a certain level of blissfulness. You would be released from so many things that most people suffer from.

Energy manifesting itself in different ways

For example, let’s say you have a nagging headache. Your headache is not a major disease but just that throbbing pain can take all your capability away for the whole day. But with the practice of yoga, your body and mind will be kept at their highest possible peak.
There are also other dimensions to yoga. When you activate your energies, you can function in a different way. Right now, you consider yourself to be a person and are identified with many things. But what you call “myself” is just a certain amount of energy. Modern science says that the whole existence is just energy manifesting itself in different ways. You are just a certain amount of energy functioning in a particular way. As far as science is concerned, this same energy which you call as “myself” could be a rock, could lie there as mud, stand up as a tree, bark as a dog or manifest as you. Everything is the same energy, but functioning at different levels of capability.
"Yoga is a tool to find ultimate expression to life. Every human being must explore and know this" Satguru says.

One of the basic and tried out methods of keeping anxiety aside by taking out 5 minutes to spend with yourself. Let the thoughts come, it will but done hold them back let is pass like you turn the pages of your books.

Slowly you will get calm and your breathe back in place.
We can do it... Just need to start.
NOW IS THE TIME
