Not just for MS
Didn't really join this site because I have MS. I don't. But I do have chronic aphasic migraines, and hypertension, and a chronic cardiac condition. The cog fog caught my notice though. This sounds eerily like what happens if my blood pressure elevates to a certain level. The migraines don't help. They seem to go hand in hand. But they literally render me speechless.
The first time it happened I was sure I'd had a stroke. Turns out it's just a severe form of migraine. But it's quite terrifying to realize you can't speak. Even the next day leaves you feeling slow witted and thick tongued. Being a nurse didn't help. You know these things cognitively. But the actual experience is quite different.
