Multiple Sclerosis (MS) / Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD)
One of my disorders is called Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The other disorder is called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) I will always have hope that there will be a cure for these disorders someday.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) and reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD)
I am a care free person and I enjoy life. My family is the most important to me. My husband of thirty two years passed away in 2016 of cancer and we have one son who is twenty nine now and I have three other sons from a previous marriage Timothy, John and James who are twins. I was diagnosed back in 2005 with two disorders which changed my life and a lot of things that I used to do I cannot do now like use to work in my yard, read and sew the things that I took for granted. I have not let these disorders get me down to much and I still can do a certain amount of stuff that I used to do and the two disorders that I keep talking about is Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). What I have is two Neurological disorders that are circumstances relating to the nervous system.
The impact of MS on the nervous system
One of my disorders is called Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which is a demyelinating disease, a non-contagious chronic autoimmune disorder of the central nervous system which can present with a variety of neurological symptoms occurring in attacks or slowly progressing over time. It has no cure yet and the exact cause remains unknown. Due to its effects of the nervous system, it can lead to long-term impaired mobility and disability in severe cases. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) slowly progressive autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks the protective myelin sheaths that surround the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord (a process called demyelination), resulting in damaged areas that are unable to transmit nerve impulses.
Pain, swelling, and skin issues with RSD
The other disorder is called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) also called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a disabling neurological disease involving nerve, skin, muscle, blood vessels and bones. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSD) also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic neurological syndrome characterized by symptoms that include persistent moderate-to-severe pain, swelling, abnormal skin color changes, skin temperature, sweating, limited range of movement, and movement disorders. There is no cure.
I will always have hope that there will be a cure for these disorders someday.
