Finally

I was diagnosed with a stroke in August of 2002 and put on blood thinners. My symptoms were slow speech and slow overall movement especially on left side. My left side of my face had been tingling for a week and had arm weakness but I thought I was getting used to a new mattress and had a pinched nerve.

Finally diagnosed with MS

Something told me it wasn’t a stroke because I was 37 at the time. After 4 years of relapses and MRIs and a trip to Mayo Clinic I was finally diagnosed with MS and not ischemic strokes every couple months!!

Have had MS for a while

Some doctor even said it wasn’t a stroke or MS but Conversion Disorder and sent me to a Neuro Psychiatrist who looked at my MRI and saw me for 2 visits and said Nope you do not have any psychiatric problems! He sent me to another Neurologist who did another MRI and showed me the results. 8 lesions with one on my corpus collusum that was inflamed and said, “You have MS and have had awhile...” Yep I knew that from the beginning!
