It's in Her Head

I hadn't been 39 for 60 days when it started to become hard to walk. I had a job and was afraid people would think I had been drinking, so after work, I would practice walking. It didn't dawn on me I had been walking for years - if you have to practice something is wrong.

It's all in your head

I went to the emergency room, the doctor put his hands out, and told me to pull with all my strength. When I did I remember him saying, "Oh that's in your head." I went again and was dismissed and told, my job, maybe I needed to change it.

So I left and put in for another job. I was called for an interview and hired. I called my aunt to drive me there. When I walked outside to her car, I couldn't walk in a straight line. She told me you're not going to a job, you're going to the E.R.

Over thirty spots found on my brain

I went back to the emergency room was given an MRI. After the doctor came in put her hands on each of my arms. She said, "They say it's in your head. But it is literally in your head." Over thirty spots were found on my brain.

 I also would love to hear the rest of your ongoing story. My first MRI showed 2 lesions, 3 months later, it showed numerous, too many to count. That was when I got my diagnosis and cried all the way home. That was almost 20 years ago. You can only do what you can, don't ever try and hide your condition. This is one serious diagnosis. I draw a lot of strength being a part of this community. I hope you do also.

 Some one said not hide my condition. I said to myself wow because i find myself doing that when i meet someone that is intrested. I felt almost ashamed to say i have multiple sclerosis. Afraid of their reaction because its only been 2 and a half years since the diagnosis.

After the results of the MRI. I was sent by ambulance to the next state over. To a hospital called oshner. We got there they asked me did i know were i was. I answered New Orleans. They asked what hospital i didn't know so i looked at the board on the wall the nurse saw me looking at the board and said don't look at the board. After taking one more glace i said oshner hospital. She asked what year was it , i answered 2016 but it was 2017. My health seem to be going down hill quickly. I couldn't walk on my own anymore and i couldn't site up on my own. A new nurse came in with a bed pane but i asked for her to help me to the bathroom, she did but after seeing what condition i was in she said " you tricked me" you have no business getting up. A few day later or maybe the next day i was taken to get a spinal tap. It was very painful and i cried a lady that worked in that department came over and started rubbing my head she said baby you have a needle in your spine you have to be still. After it was done i was sick and throwing up. I was given a few more MRI's given a x ray they stood me up out of my wheel chair but i couldn't stand on my own so my body set back down quickly. Its as though my body did what it wanted.
