The Unexpected Joy of MS

Because of my MS, the voice that leaves my mouth is terribly inappropriate at times. Or more often than I would like, much of what I say is just plain wrong.

Words keep coming out wrong

“What time should I meet you... at 6 AM... I mean 6 PM!” or “JOAN is going to visit with us... wait, it is JOHN!”

I have seen more places than I ever planned on seeing: “...Let’s go to the zoo, no I mean the circus.” I also will say something like, “I’m expecting a delivery...” but never say what it is or who it is from. This leaves my listener thinking, “Huh?”

Learning to live with and laugh at these speech issues

Well, I guess I’ll just learn to live with this method of speaking. After all, MS just gives me something to laugh about.
