My Story!

My name is Jannelle I am 35 years old.

On September 24, 2009 I was diagnosed with MS. I was 31 years old. About 2 weeks before being diagnosed I started having trouble with my right leg. It was really hard to explain, it did not hurt it just felt funny! It was also heavy when I had to lift my leg up. I was also very tired, I just could not get enough rest. So even with all of this going on I decided to ignore it and continue with my daily activities. When I woke up on the morning of September 23rd the whole right side of my body felt numb, from head to toe! Totally freaked me out. After about an hour my leg and arm finally totally gave out, I could not even stand or hold the phone! Had to call an ambulance and go to the hospital.

I was terrified that I was having a stroke or had a brain tumor. I was then sent to the MRI machine which clearly said I had MS and had it for some time! When looking back I always knew something wasn't right I just chose to ignore all the symptoms!

Anyway, now over 3 years later I still have symptoms everyday! I still have numbness that won't go away, foot drop, extreme fatigue, tremors, spasticity and plenty of other symptoms.

Even with all that I love my life! I have the best husband anyone could ask for and we have a beautiful 6 year old son who is my world!
