I Have MS but MS Doesn't Have Me!

I've had MS most of my life. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 22, but had symptoms when I was very young. I couldn't walk until I was 2 1/2 years old, and could never run. I was a teacher until I couldn't teach anymore because the MS progressing and I didn't feel that I was being the best teacher I could be. The children deserved to come first and I was missing a lot of work. I have an awesome husband. We have 9 children between us. (Yours, mine, and ours)! When I couldn't teach anymore, we took in foster children. We now only have our youngest two boys at home. (ages 14 and 17). It's getting a little harder now, because my MS has now progressed to secondary progressive MS. I'm now in a wheelchair, but I'm lucky because I have a loving, supportive husband who happens to be my best friend!
