Conformity
I was diagnosed when I was 16. That was 19 years ago, as I am now 35.
It has been a long and turbulent road as so many others who live with this disease come to know. Not being alone in the fact that I can't begin to tell all that I have been through and will continue to go through. Physically and mentally.
The hardest part of all of this unfathomably destructive disease is the conformity of it, not wanting to give in but having no choice.
Not giving in and fighting is a part of everyday life for us.
With that being said, even though we ALL continue to fight our individual battles, we all can agree on one thing, THIS DISEASE SUCKS.
