Brain Surgery Anyone?
When I turned 44, I was working at a hospital, and enjoying it, as well as raising the last of my four children. I noticed when I charted that my hands would tremor. My family also started telling me that I was forgetting things. Things they had told me or I had told them.
I consulted my primary care doctor who ran an MRI. I had a large lesion on my brain. He proceeded to tell me that I would need brain surgery to biopsy the lesion. I was mortified!
Luckily, he sent me to a skilled neurologist, who didn't recommend brain surgery, but did recommend a spinal tap. I was diagnosed with MS on September 18th, 2014.
