Really?
After falling down and laying in the hallway for 3 hours too dizzy to move, I made it to doctor's and all I got was a laugh and a, "Come back when you get another cold."
I did some antibiotics, then my tongue went numb. Questioned it again - "No you're fine."
I thought I had a stroke
A month later, I woke up and couldn't move my right side or talk. I went to the hospital thinking maybe I had a stroke. After a cat scan and tests, the nurse looked at me and said, "Didn't you see all these people in here for you? We thought it was an emergency." WHAT... so did I.
Then the doctor stood in the doorway saying you're good, go home, we aren't giving you any drugs. Ummmm I don't want them, just want to know what's wrong.
A week later, I went to a different hospital where the doctor said I was doing it to myself by the way I was breathing, and to not to lay in bed all day, you're good, go home. WHAT!
Need for greater education about MS
I went back to different doctors. He finally ordered an MRI and set me up with a neurologist. I spent 3 months on my back in bed because I couldn't move. These doctors and hospitals need to be educated on MS and basic humanity.
