Amoxicillin

Hey All Sorry ( I wasn't sure where to post this) I am new to this and was wondering if any of y`all feel better when you take a daily dose of 750mgs or more of Amoxicillin??

I was diag. w/ MS in 1997 and was doing ok until 2005 when I guess I got bit by a tick and was not caught until Dec 2007 and started oral treatment of antibiotics for a few months.I had Lymes in my Central Nervous system, and in my blood. Anyways
Since I moved to PA two years ago the doctors keep wanting to fight with me saying its the MS and not the past lymes, but none of the MS meds work on me except Prednisone (which has made me a totally different person cause of the side effects.) Anyways to make a long story short have any of you been on a daily antibiotic that makes your MS feel better. If I dont take my Amoxicillin after a few days I am bed ridden but when I take it daily I act. have some sort of life and I am not stuck in bed daily. I had one lesion on my optical nerve then after the Lymes I have about 3 more on the brain and two on the Cervical.

Please help if ya can so I can let these doctors and insurance companies know what we go thru either way.

Hi Jen, I just found your post when doing research to see if anyone else, or if a medical study, had found this correlation. Because, YES! YES! and YES! Taking Amox for something else, and EVERY time, my MS symptoms are vastly improved...I mean, the muscle aches go down, I can focus better, my mood improves and I have more energy, as well as feel more coordinated. We need to bring this to the community's attention, and our doctor's as well. I had heard from my Lyme doctor that AMOX is a strong anti-inflammatory, so perhaps that's why it works. I am finding just one a day is sufficient. And, contrary to what we are told about long term use and drug resistance etc. I had a friend who lost his spleen and took one Pen VK every day for life, so I'm wondering if this could be a new protocol for us. Please, know you may be on to something, and share your valid personal experience. Best, Skylark

YES! Taking amox was the only anomaly in my mums treatment and i’ve been campaigning as hard as i could for doctors to listen but they haven’t been! is there anyway i could contact you to discuss this further?

 Hello! This is brilliant thank you!! I'm not sure what the rules are about sharing information but I'm a university student and I found an MS specialised researcher who's agreed to meet with me and discuss the situation, I'm not sure how realistic my goal is but I'm hoping maybe to kickstart more research on it, maybe a clinical study, I'm not entirely sure how it works- but if you'd like to contact me to give me any more information or anything else you've found that would be much appreciated. Regardless, thank you so much for this, I cannot thank you enough, I hope if anti-biotics aren't an end all they at least uncover the answer to something that is. Thank you thank you thank you!

In 2020 I had Covid, and was given two IV bags of Redemsivir, I could feel my brain fog lift for a few hours after that and no one believes me.

 Wow that's incredible <inline-mention username="Anthonyp" user-id="4726317"/>! I'm not familiar with Redemsivir but it does seem that covid opened the doors to seeing health and various medicines from new angles. Let's hope that some good can come from all of it! How are you feel now? Do you feel like you're experiencing any aspects of long covid or did it resolve for you after you had the virus? - Alene, moderator

 Thanks for asking, Covid took something from me I'm never getting back after 3 years, mental clarity, strength and stamina was never the same after, I don't want to sound like a moaner or complainer but it's true. Having PPMS, Covid damage and approaching 54 it's impossible to know what's what and where my issues come from. I wish we could do a study where we take 10 MS patients, hook them up to a bag of Redemsivir and have them report what happens. Redemsivir is the high-power antiviral that had inconsistent sucess during the pandemic.
