Join MSAA for a Live Relapse Management Webinar in Honor of MS Awareness Month
Each year, March is nationally recognized as Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. In honor of this month, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) is hosting a number of educational events and programs to educate and spread awareness about MS.
MSAA invites you to join Elizabeth Crabtree-Hartman, MD for a live webinar titled, Helpful Tools for MS Relapse Management on Tuesday, March 13 from 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST as part of our MS Awareness Month activities.
During this one-hour webinar, Dr. Crabtree-Hartman will provide members of the MS community with a more thorough understanding of MS relapses, discuss ways to improve patient-doctor communication, explain MS relapse treatment options, help lessen the confusion around pseudoexacerbations, and more. Dr. Crabtree-Hartman will also give viewers the chance to engage in a Q&A session from emails submitted through the webinar’s live chat feature.
More info on relapses
Relapses, also referred to as exacerbations, attacks, flare-ups, episodes, or bouts, are experienced by most people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). When someone experiences a relapse, he or she may be having new symptoms or an increase in existing symptoms. Relapses occur with relapsing-remitting, progressive-relapsing, and sometimes secondary-progressive forms of MS. Relapses do not occur with primary-progressive MS, although individuals may experience day-to-day fluctuations in how they feel.
Sign up now for MSAA’s Relapse Management webinar, and be sure to visit MSAA’s website during the month of March for more activities related to MS Awareness Month.
