What's the best way to get the convo going?

I haven't been diagnosed with MS, but I have thought for a while that I might. I have a large list of what I've been experiencing that I'd like to bring up with my doctor, but I worry they may not be taken seriously. What's the best way to get a successful conversation going about my concerns with my doctor? I plan to start a diary, and I have videos of the random spasms/twitching I'm experiencing for months on end. Any tips, or info I should share with my doctor?

  1. You are already on the right track with documenting what you've been feeling and tracking any possible symptoms that could be related to having MS. Having an open and effective conversation with your doctor about your concerns regarding possibly having psoriasis is crucial. The best thing you can do is be specific about your concerns and communicate your goals and what you hope to achieve from the conversation. This will help you to have an honest conversation and let them know your expectations for your visit. In addition, I want to share an insightful article with you that has some tips for communicating with a doctor- https://multiplesclerosis.net/living-with-ms/tips-patient-doctor-communication. I hope this helps! All the best, Latoya (Team Member)
