I recently was hospitalized for a relapse, I am 65yrs old and have had MS for 40 yrs . While in the hospital I received high doses of prednisone for 3 days IV. On the third day they could not wake me, my vitals were fine but I was out, I could not move. When I did come out of it the next day I think, I had hallucinations and angry outbursts. I was horrified by my behavior but could not help myself. I would go between yelling at my medical staff and out of control crying and apologizing. They released me and I did nothing but sleep for almost a week. I was crabby irritated by anyone who asked me a question. 2 Weeks after I began to feel better, the tingling was back to my lower leg no spasms, brain fog, fatigue was so much better. I am mobile and never have been in a wheelchair and only used a cane on occasions, my question is ,is this normal, are the risks worth it. I have been sleeping without my trazodone and have had fewer headaches. I really am still wondering how or why this happened.
