Hi, !
This is an interesting conversation going on within the Multiple Sclerosis community. For people that find MS medications to be especially disruptive to their everyday lives, stopping treatments may seem like a blessing. However, not everyone is ready to just quit treatment at a particular age. There is some data that shows the cost/benefit ratio shifts at a certain age, but, that research is ongoing and YOU should get the final say as to when to stop or start a treatment. Here is one study that was done about the efficacy of treatments for older adults -- https://www.nationalmssociety.org/news-and-magazine/news/study-older-adults-with-ms. But again, I don't think 60 is especially old in this day and age and also, you should have a say in how to pursue your treatment. If you feel like your health has deteriorated since stopping treatments, then I would hope your doctor would listen to your concerns and address them.
